EDUCYCLE EXCHANGE

The EduCycle Exchange program was launched with one goal in mind: to support global climate education. Neste is sending the first ever climate education game EduCycle to 10 schools in Finland, and 10 schools around the world. The schools will then be partnered, each Finnish school with a global collaborate, enabling the children to learn from each other about climate change in different regions of the world. These children are the influencers of tomorrow – the people who can teach the decision makers of today.

CLIMATE CHANGE GAMIFIED

Climate change is a universal phenomenon - present in all regions of the world. Helsinki no longer experiences a white Christmas, California suffers of drought and an increased risk of devastating hurricanes. Africa faces desertification and the rare animal species of Southern America are on the brink of extinction. The problem appears in various ways in different areas, but there’s no denying that climate change affects all regions of the planet. Thus, the solutions to climate change should also be found together.

EduCycle is a concrete, gamified way of teaching about the causes and effects of climate change - and above all, how the decisions we make in our everyday lives have an impact on our environment. The EduCycle Exchange program enables children to learn how climate change is affecting other parts of the world, and together find solutions for tackling the global issue.
