Neste Oil has one of the broadest product portfolio available for GpIII or VHVI base stocks, ranging from 2 cSt ISO VG7 to 8 cSt ISO VG46.

2cSt and 3cSt light grades have excellent cold properties and are used e.g. as automotive power train fluids. NEXBASE® 3043 and 3050 are especially suitable as base stock component for 0W and 5W passenger car engine oil formulations. The heavier NEXBASE® 3060 and 3080 grades are a good base for heavy duty diesel engine oils and for industrial applications, such as high-performance turbine oils and gear oils.

NEXBASE® 3050 is a unique product with low Noack and low CCS, especially developed for European 5W-30 and 5W-40 top tier PCMO formulations. Straight cut 5cSt VHVI base stock is a special product and not included in every base oil supplier’s portfolio.
