”Amongst all the bad things happening all over the world, you can still find hope.”

“From the get-to this project felt like a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

Creating art has always meant a lot to me. I’ve done it ever since I was a little kid. When I work on art, I free myself from everything else. I forget about what’s happening around me, forget about the school, the chores.

I usually make realistic and surrealistic work. So here, I’m really testing things out, pushing forward. Abstract is a new approach for me. I don’t think I’ve done anything this abstract, ever.

The method here is of course a new one for all. Normally I don’t even paint, but use digital. When I was younger I used to draw a lot with charcoal and pencils. Then I got a digital tablet for birthday, and I’ve loved it ever since. But right now I’m thinking about doing more work with paints, like here.

Doing art has give me hope. With art, you don’t have to work along certain rules. Everything can be just the way you are.

Our exhibitions theme, hope, is really important to me. There’s a lot of things happening right now all over the world. The climate changes, lots of unrest everywhere. But amongst it all you can still find hope, find something that works.

I’ve got a lot of hope from the project myself. I now see myself as an artist, in the future.

This project has been big. It has really become important for me. And I’m starting to see its importance on larger scale.

For all who think that there’s no light, there is always someone who cares, someone who helps.”
