Neste Annual General Meeting issues authorizations to donate EUR 1.5 million to universities and higher education institutions

Today on March 30, the Annual General Meeting of Neste authorized the Board of Directors to decide on donations of at most EUR 1.5 million to be given to universities and higher education institutions.

The Board of Directors will decide on the recipients and the amount of each of donation; the donations can be given in one or more installments. The authorization shall be in force until the closing of the next Annual General Meeting.

"We consider higher education to be important, and we also want to support the operating conditions of universities and higher education institutions," says Jorma Eloranta, Chair of the Board of Directors of Neste.

"Neste has extensive and productive R&D activities. However, they would not be as successful without close cooperation with universities and higher education institutions. What is more, basic education offered by universities and higher education institutions is important to us in that we need highly educated people to secure our company's success also in the future," Eloranta continues.
