Neste Jacobs celebrates the completion of EPCM services for Finland's first LNG import terminal in Pori
Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs has successfully carried out the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) project for Skangas' LNG import terminal from the years 2014 to 2016. The LNG terminal of 30 000 m³ at Pori features state of the art engineering solutions being fully equipped for unloading ships, storing LNG, ship bunkering, truck loading by LNG as well as distribution of regasified LNG by pipeline to an industrial park.
Safety of the operation of the LNG terminal have been secured by Neste Jacobs' extensive process risk evaluations and safety automation assessments carried out during the engineering phase of the project.
One of the most significant characteristics of Pori terminal is the high level of automation enabling even the possibility for remote operation. Pori LNG terminal was opened for commercial operation in July 2016.
