Neste Jacobs revamps its strategy, organization, and brand
Neste Jacobs has announced its new strategy today and its goal of being the leading provider of technology, engineering, and project services in selected market areas. Neste Jacobs' extensive experience in the oil, gas, and petrochemicals industries, and expertise in refining renewable feedstocks, represent the company's key core strengths.
The cornerstones of Neste Jacobs' strategy will be developing world-class technology, providing a premium level of service for key customers, and growing in selected market areas. The company aims to seek growth in areas such as Russia and the Middle East, where major investments are expected in oil refining and petrochemicals. Neste Jacobs will target major international customers in particular, with the aim of providing a global package of services.
To support its revamped strategy, Neste Jacobs has updated its organization, and the company's Management Board as of 1 March, 2010 will comprise:
- Jarmo Suominen, Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board
- Tom Främling, Business Development
- Esa Lindgren, Technology & Process Engineering
- Samuli Kyttälä, Project Services
- Tove Mickos-Snickars, HSSEQ
- Risto Takkala, Finance & ICT
- Tuula Vajavaara, HR
The member of the Management Board responsible for engineering services will be appointed later.
Kirsi Rintamäki will be responsible for plant engineering, and Kari Kaskes for automation and electrical engineering.
The revamp is designed to strengthen Neste Jacobs' ability to respond to market demands more effectively and drive its ongoing internal development program; while the revamped brand will give the company a stronger profile in the marketplace.
"We're looking for growth in new areas, such as technology development and consulting. We're also laying the foundation for the increased demand that we believe we will see in refining renewable feedstocks in particular, and developing our capabilities to respond to this," says Neste Jacobs' Managing Director, Jarmo Suominen.
