Neste Oil to participate SuomiAreena with climate and energy theme

News

Neste Oil will hold a panel debate on climate and energy policy at the SuomiAreena in Pori on Friday, 18 July between 10.30 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. The event will be open to everyone and free of charge.

The debate will feature two members of the European Parliament, Olli Rehn and Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, three Finnish members of Parliament, Pia Kauma, Mauri Pekkarinen, and Kaj Turunen, and Neste Oil’s President & CEO, Matti Lievonen. Keijo Leppänen, news anchor with MTV3, will host the debate.

“Climate is a major issue and a challenge,” says Neste Oil’s President & CEO, Matti Lievonen. “Through our strategic decision to invest in renewable fuels, we want to be part of the solution. NEXBTL renewable diesel, based on our own R&D, is a very efficient way of helping combat climate change.”

Climate change, energy and how and where it is generated and what it costs, are issues that affect everyone today. The panel at SuomiAreena in July will look at what kind of climate and energy policy will be needed in the future and what tools are available for mitigating climate change and at the same time guaranteeing the competitiveness of industry in Finland and Europe.
