Neste Oil Photo Trophy entourage started their journey from Paris

News

Participants of Neste Oil Photo Trophy started their journey from Paris on 6 July. From Paris, the group consisting of 25 diverse vehicles will head towards their first stop in Bramsche, Germany. The journey will take the participants through seven European countries, and the total length of the route will be approximately 10,000 kilometers. During this journey the participants will capture their experiences by photographing landscapes and other inspiring things as they go by. To Finland, the crew will arrive on 20 July, and the drive will end in Helsinki on 1 August. On that same day the photos taken on the road are available for public in an exhibition set in Esplanad Park in the center of the city. The exhibition opens at 11.30.

“Neste Oil Photo Trophy is a different kind of adventure, and an unusual concept. The group of photographers starting their journey from Paris is very diverse, including young and older people as well as both professional and amateur photographers. Despite of their different backgrounds, they are all driven by the joy of movement. This joy is what we wish to be captured in the pictures taken on the route!” tells the event’s organizer Philippe Boucher.

Neste Oil is sponsoring the event for the first time this year, and just like the participants, we are also driven by the joy of movement. “Moving is a significant part of people’s lives and creates much joy. With our strategy for cleaner traffic fuels, we want to enable people to have the possibility to enjoy moving with good conscience also in the future”, says Osmo Kammonen, Neste Oil's Senior Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs.

Neste Oil Photo Trophy’s patron is Meriem Bouamrane of UNESCO, and in addition to Neste Oil, partners of the event include National Geographic, Helsingin Sanomat, Svenska Dagbladet ja 20 Minutes.
