Neste Oil to provide oil trading information to the European Commission

The European Commission is currently investigating a number of oil companies as a result of alleged anti-competitive price reporting practices linked to the Platts price assessment process. Neste Oil has been requested to provide background information to the Commission on its oil trading activities.

“While Neste Oil is not one of the companies under inspection, we have received a request from the European Commission to provide information, along with other oil companies active on the European market,” says Matti Lehmus, Executive Vice President, Oil Products and Renewables. “We will naturally cooperate with this request and provide the information requested to assist the European Commission in its investigation.
