Neste Oil completes REACH registration

Neste Oil has successfully completed REACH registration for all the chemical substances that it manufactures, and submitted a total of 72 registrations.

The REACH regulation and the closely related CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulation impact how substances are classified and the content of safety data sheets and product labeling. The changes will be implemented on a phased basis in accordance with CLP requirements.

REACH is Europe's new European chemicals regulatory framework and brings new requirements for manufacturers, importers, and downstream users. All chemical substances have to be registered with the European Chemicals Agency. REACH came into force in 2007 and the last date for registering high-volume substances (over 1,000 t/a) was 30 November 2010.
