Neste Oil included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fifth time in succession

Neste Oil has again been recognized for its commitment to sustainability by being selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the fifth year in succession. Neste Oil is one of a total of 342 companies from 30 countries to be selected. Companies included in DJSI World are expected to show a high level of commitment to financial, social, and environment responsibility, as well as continuous improvement. Companies are selected for inclusion in the DJSI indexes on the basis of assessments made by the Swiss-based SAM Group.

Impartial third-party reviews such as that carried out for DJSI World give our stakeholders a valuable indication of how we are performing and show that we are focusing on the right things."

Neste Oil has long been a pioneer in developing lower-emission fuels and aims to be an industry pioneer in sustainability. During 2010, for example, Neste Oil focused on areas such as verifying the sustainability of its supply chain, improving dialogue with its stakeholders, developing its security systems, and assessing the indirect impact of its operations.

Neste Oil has been recognized for the work it has done in terms of sustainability in a number of other reviews. In early 2011, the company was named the world's 20th most sustainable company in The Global 100 list and the best performer in the oil & gas sector by Forest Footprint Disclosure. Neste Oil has also been included in the Ethibel Excellence Investment register.
