A small oil spill took place at Neste Oil’s Naantali refinery in the morning of 9 November, when the refinery’s TCC unit, used in gasoline production, was being started up after the maintenance shutdown.

Between approximately one and two cubic meters of vacuum gas oil were released during the incident, of which some 500 liters found their way into the sea. The oil was collected from the sea during the same afternoon, and all the precautions were completed on 15 November.
