The Jury

The Pre-order the Future jury consists of people from different fields of expertise. The jury observes the research and development phase and brings to the table a fresh take on each of the topics.  

Richard Williams, better known by his stage name Prince Ea, is spoken word artist, rapper and YouTube star who now joins Neste’s Pre-order Future as a futurologist. He is known as a passionate environmentalist and a spokesperson for sustainable lifestyles. His spoken word videos have had over half a billion views on YouTube and Facebook.

Jaana Beidler is a Finnish designer with an impressive work history in the U.S. She has worked for companies such as Patagonia, Esprit, Nokia and Nike and it goes without saying that she is a true professional. Beidler is now passing on the knowledge and skills to international students of Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture as an associate professor of Color and Material Design.

Just like the entire Pre-order the Future project, Jury Day was all about discussion, collaboration, and forward-thinking. The jury had to balance visionary ideas with practical considerations. This video lets you discover what it takes to make such a tough decision.
