The hiring manager reviews all applications.

In case we find a potential match, we will schedule a call, a video interview or a face-to-face conversation – taking into account the number of suitable applicants – to learn more about your skills and experience. The hiring manager is always represented in all interviews.

While we would like to be able to connect with every applicant, we regret that the volume of applications we receive on a global scale does not always allow us to personally contact everyone who applies.


Our competencies-based interviewing process is intended to help us minimize unconscious bias while also making sure that we hire people who will thrive in our environment and culture. Steps will vary by team but these typically include: a hiring manager interview, aptitude testing (combining an ability test, a self-assessed personality test, and questionnaires and interviews mapping your motivation, commitment and development potential) and possibly a second interview with other stakeholders.

During the interview we will ask you to describe the type of projects you have previously worked on, the scale of those projects, what level of collaboration was involved as well as the outcome. We focus on how instead of what. And for sure, we always ask: Why do you want to work for Neste?


​If you're selected, and the fit and timing are right on your end as well, the hiring manager will present and walk you through the proposed details of the offer. With your verbal acceptance, our HR will initiate the onboading process through our HR system and you will receive an email and a link to the system asking you to fill in necessary information.

During the onboarding process, you will be asked a permission for a security clearance and you may be asked to contact our Occupational Health colleagues for a health examination. The hiring manager and our HR Experts are happy to provide further information if required.


Once you've signed your offer, on behalf of our 4,400 colleagues around the world, we will then welcome you to Neste.

The onboarding process will give you the best possible start at Neste by ensuring that you have a clear understanding of your role and responsibilities and the part you play in the wider organization. Alongside customized and role specific onboarding, the Global Induction program will also provide you the information you will need to succeed with us.
