  • Overnight impact on company environmental goals

  • Transforming operations to be more sustainable

Since forming in 2013, Argent Materials, a concrete and asphalt recycling center, has diverted more than a billion pounds of waste from local landfills in Oakland, California. "It runs cleaner. It’s met and exceeded our expectations in every way."

Bill Crotinger, President & CEO

In 2020, Argent switched its fleet of 20 vehicles and equipment - comprised of wheel loaders, excavators, bobcats and a couple of water trucks - to run on Neste MY Renewable Diesel. As a result, Argent and Neste have kept 1,340 metric tons of CO₂ out of the atmosphere each year, which is equal to planting 6,600 trees.

How easy was the switch?

“Making the switch from a standard petroleum diesel to Neste MY Renewable Diesel was literally seamless.” - Bill Crotinger, President & CEO

What impact will this have on the environment?

“Our social contract has become a guiding principle for Argent. To know that I can look my children in the eyes, and my grandchildren, to know that we are doing the right thing for them is important.” - Bill Crotinger, President & CEO
