In order to support our Way Forward change program, we engaged all our employees three years ago to take part in a Mirror Culture Survey related to our organizational culture. The survey was conducted again in the spring of 2016. According to the results, we have developed in ten of the twelve surveyed areas, reflecting the impact of our long-term development work.
Of the Way Forward themes studied, there is still room for improvement in the area of “giving and taking responsibility”. Positive development has taken place particularly in the areas related to adopting safe working practices and cooperation skills.
In late fall 2016, we carried out our first Forward Survey, a personnel survey that explored how our employees perceive the company’s current operating culture's strengths and weaknesses. The survey results were discussed by Neste Executive Board at the end of 2016. In the future, Forward Survey will be conducted annually. It will be complemented by Fast-Forward Pulse surveys and other surveys aimed at specific target groups, conducted when needed. New kinds of methods to monitor and measure the pulse of the organization support our flexible and agile working practices, and strengthen leadership based on interaction.
